In a medical office or hospital, having many patient rooms filled with sick patients of course increases the chances of cross contamination, especially if hospital rooms are shared by two or more sick patients or receive many visitors.  In order to protect those patients as well as the nurses, doctors, visitors and other hospital staff that go in and out of the room, it is important to cleanse the air of germs.  Installing a Safety Halo® above the sick patient’s bed will help do just that.

The Safety Halo® is easy to install without using heavy machinery and can be done quickly and easily.  The Safety Halo® pulls dirty, germ-filled air into its housing to filter it.  A pre-filter at the first point of entry eliminates larger dust particles in the air.  The air then flows through a HEPA filter to clean out tiny germs and other contaminants.  After the HEPA filter the air then flows out of the bottom of the Safety Halo® to replace the dirty air in the room with HEPA-cleaned air.  If located properly over the patient, it will provide a cone of gently-pressurized flowing air that will block or capture and carry away from the patient germs and other contaminants exhaled or brought in on the clothing of medical and other visitors.  It will also help blow away germs the patient exhales to help reduce reinfection.

The Safety Halo’ pre-filter helps prevent the HEPA filter from clogging quickly and greatly extends its life.  This will significantly cut down replacement and maintenance frequency and costs.

Installing an Air Cleaning BlowerTM (ACB) can also have beneficial effects in patient rooms by ventilating with clean air to drive particles from the room and simultaneously help circulate clean air throughout the room, providing both benefits without using any filter elements.  Instead of blocking and collecting the debris with filter media, ACBs use the momentum of the particles to separate them from the air and eject them directly.  The big benefit:  they blow and clean air without any filter elements to buy, store, replace or dispose.  Since debris does not accumulate in the units and clog, you can count on steady airflow, air pressure and power consumption.  No filter elements means no filter maintenance!  They can also be used to pre-clean the air for the HEPA element in the Safety Halos® when the air is especially dirty.
